A tribute to Lo Hwei Yen who was killed innocently in Trident-Oberoi hotel, Mumbai by those who did not blink an eyelid to murder. You shall be remembered forever.
To the family and husband of Lo Hwei Yen, may God be with you during this tough period. Your tears are not alone.

US Government takeover, real or scam?
Interesting article to read... Wondering where did the US government get to much money to keep bailout companies from bankruptcies? Federal Reserve US1501 laserjet printer?
So, is the US Government takeover, real or scam? Take a look here

It was up, up, up before it came down, down, down
The DOW plunged 500 points again. Read here
It's falling faster than bird droppings. Fear, fear, fear... market is ruled by fear now. Contrast this with barely more than one year ago, where everybody was talking about stocks from the CEO of MNCs to the aunties cleaning the toilets. It was as popular as buying lottery, only this was "sure win one".
One has to know first rule of stocks. And what is that? Buy before others buy, sell before others sell. Stocks ironically does not consists of stocks at all. It is not even paper. It is just perceived value in the minds of people who bought them. The money you earn from stocks is the money lost from somebody else. Think about it. Other than dividends, these stocks do not generate returns unlike savings, or renting out properties. So where did you get the profit from? Someone else who bought your stocks believing it will go up. And when it doesn't, he will lose money and you would have gained his. It's like holding a timebomb, so make sure you are not the last who's holding it when it explodes.
What is a better investment? Rent out your properties - houses, cars. Buy gold!

Are we a tolerant society?
One is four person you bumped on the street is a foreigner in Singapore.
That was what I concluded from an article from New Straits Times. You can view the statistics from here
That explains why I keep meeting people of different ethnicity wherever I go. And yes, I am a foreigner as well in this land. The recent hoo-har in Serangoon Gardens about building a dormitory for foreign workers should awaken a reality in us : we have to get used to living with people from different ethnicity. In fact, the response from the neighnourhood has unnerved me. Come on, these are the people who build our homes and maintain Singapore's image as a clean city - especially after festivals like the hungry ghost. Have we ever wondered where those incense papers, and rotten apples go? Nope, I know cats are hungry but they are pretty well fed already in HDB areas as far as I can see. Why don't the government fine those who litter irresponsibly?
Of course, the workers are paid to do that. But at least we should be grateful for the people who are cleaning the shit we refuse to clear.
Ehem.. who was the one that sadistically pulled the teeth off a helpless woman?
How about the stories of 40 foreign workers caged in a hdb unit?
With all due respect, I think the foreign workers should be more afraid of moving near our houses than us, after hearing all the wonderful ways we treat them.

Blur, and oblivious?
I was taking the train to work as usual today when I witness a rather amusing and yet agitating behaviour. A man had just stood up and offered his seat to a pregnant or seemingly pregnant woman (well she could be really fat) when out of nowhere came a blur queen who 'chop' the seat. As what we would normally exclaim, I thought in my mind "WALAO..." how more blur can someone be???
